Best way to organize files for private group on same network

I plan to create a private group of about 10 people, five of whom are co-located and have access to a shared network drive. To store their documents, should I create a Mendeley folder on the shared network and recommend they all use that same folder in their "Copy files to:" path. Or should they each maintain their own separate folder of documents (which the 5 people off site will obviously have to do). Thanks.
