I've done some searching, but haven't found a definitive answer.
What is the behavior of notes and highlighting when documents are added to a sharing group?
1) If I have notes and highlighting in a pdf, and then I add it to a group, can the other members see them?
2) What happens if another member already has the pdf, and has their own notes or highlighting?
3) If I (or another member) edits notes or highlighting in the pdf from the group, does it affect the original pdf I had locally?
Ultimately, where is the notes and highlighting data for a pdf document stored, and how is it attached to the pdf, and how is it attached to the citation in the mendeley database?
Last, is there any way to select the behavior? For instance, if I have notes that I wouldn't want made public, how would I make sure that a clean copy of the pdf is available to the group, while making sure that my copy retains all my comments?
