Deleting papers from private groups

I have a private group whose account space limit has been met (100 MB). I am therefore trying to delete the papers in it to free up some space. I have deleted everything in the group but it is still saying that it is full, i.e. we have reached our maximum space limit. How do you delete papers and PDFs from private groups in Mendeley? Thanks
