We are experiencing a couple of issues with Mendeley; mainly the speed (extremely slow when searching both within the programme and when referencing in Word) and regular crashing of the programme.
Our group is a large group containing over 34,000 papers. However, this only constitutes half of our allotted space so we would expect Mendeley to be able to cope with this quantity of papers and more.
I enquired about this issue before and received the following advise "Maybe don't downloading the pdfs would help". Sadly this is not an option as we use Mendeley as a resource for searching for and accessing pdfs.
If you have any other suggestions on how we could improve processing speed without removing papers we would love to hear from you.
